The Legislative Committee which is chaired by board member Debbie Catlett. In the past, the committee has discussed several important pieces of federal legislation including cap and trade, health care reform, and the Employee Free Choice Act. One goal of this committee is to stay on top of legislation that would affect chamber members and elevate it to the full board to take an official stance on it. The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce is also a member of the Missouri Chamber Federation which is a 40+ member group which collectively supports identified areas of common interest of the Missouri Business Community. We invite you to participate on this committee full time or just on a part time basis if you have an issue you would like to see us discuss. This committee also is very active in meeting with our elected officials and should meet monthly.
